My family went to daytona every year when i was a kid, and then in Highschool, i would go for Bike week yearrly with my brother and then in college I went on spring break there a couple times and spent a new yers there...now my wife and I try to go every year...I love daytona...I almost dropped out of school to live there. a few friends and i negotiated a monthly rate at the Atlantic Dunes Motel and Cottages, but we chickened out so i just went back to Pitt and dropped all of my classes except for a 5 credit Italian Language course (because the teacher was hot and she let us drink wine in class)...

I wish i could eat a steak or some crab legs at the Charlie Horse right now...

I lived in the Daytona Beach area from the age of 15 to 28ish. Palm Coast through high school and in Daytona from 19 until I moved to Gainesville in 2003. Had a blast. Spring Break was always good to me. I turned down scholarship offers to stay in Daytona and chase girls and party year round. Having a nice apartment near the beach was great. Personally I'd love to go have some peel n eat shrimp or a Mahi sandwich at the Ocean Deck right about now. I still go there whenever I can.

I agree with you on the strategy and teamwork, but I hate getting stuck on a team full of 11 bad snipers or 13 medics. Lack of headsets drives me nuts. When you are stuck on a bad team it is painful. And yes I realize its the same with MW2, but COD is my Meth addiction.

Hate to say it but I am trophy-whoring on BFBC2. Once I get my platinum I'm sending it back to Gamefly - unless there is another pricedrop on it.

chew, you should join us for some 3rd person mw2.

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

I actually sold my copy because I couldn't "handle" the first person. I did ask for some 3rd person maps at first, but it wasn't met with much interest then.

Had I known you were doing them now, I would've kept it.

(For some reason, I had zero problem with 1st person Borderlands)

just to let you know, 3rd person in mw2 is a little frustrating.

I do believe I should be available after 10/11 est tonight. Its my anniversary tonight and I have to spend a little quality time with my better half. Since she is 6 months pregnant she will probably be in the land of nod by 10ish (sooner than that most likely).

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

<strike>I have BBQ plans at a friend's house tonight, sorry. I can do tomorrow or Sunday.</strike>

Edit: If you aren't starting until after 9CST, then I'll hop on.

It's Thursday. Who can make it?

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

i should be on. i have unlocked akimbo for the uzis and the handguns. If anyone else has them unlocked, we can use them in a match.

cruzness06-03-10 09:27 AM

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

I'll be on after 930 est. I got akimbo for all the smg's, some handguns /machine pistols and the akimbo shotguns that aren't douchebaggy 1887's.

JohnSlider06-03-10 09:28 AM

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

Any objections to making this the CoD/RDR PS3 League thread? The Warhawk thread is a lot more active, so this one might be a better alternative. Most of the players are the same anyway.

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

I tried to unlock akimbo for handguns and machine pistols but I suck and couldn't do it. I can use my "douchebaggy 1887's" if you want to do a akimbo match.

JohnSlider06-03-10 09:35 AM

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

I don't have any akimbo guns other than the 1887s, Rangers, and the .44 Magnums. But I don't mind allowing the option for akimbo, even if I don't have them. I've found akimbos to be a big disadvantage for anything other than shotguns because you can't aim worth sh*t with them.

Nope. Not a problem. That way we can keep better track of what we are talking about.

Speaking of RDR. I got booted form the game last night and my connection went crazy. When I finally got everything straightened out. Everyone was gone.

JohnSlider06-03-10 09:48 AM

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

Sorry about that, Cruz, I don't know if it was my connection or yours. It was quite a bit of fun. I am still unfamiliar with the map, but I tried to make sure we hit all the gang hideouts and in the quickest traveling order. After that I just hit the Casual Games option, so I had not control over what type we were playing. A lot of funny moments. When Sauce kept riding off the bridge, and when he finally got it I ran my horse into his and we both tumbled into the water. I felt pretty bad when I spawned on the right side of the bridge, and he spawned back on the other side.

cruzness06-03-10 09:56 AM

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

might've been mine since my internet was spotty also for the rest of the night.

Had a blast. was funny when we were killing our horses at hanging rock and it devolved into shooting each other.

So are we still doing 3 requests for MW2?

Are you going to ask L&O to rename the thread title? If so, than no objections from me (although, I don't really have a "vote" since I don't play MW2 ;)).

ivelostr206-03-10 10:07 AM

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

I wont be on tonight until late, I have a 10:30 hockey game, which usually puts me at home around 11:45...but I'll pop on and see what is up then. Just make sure you save a SMG match and a headshot handgun only match for me!!!

Also not sure if Beefy will make it, she said her kid has been sick and not sleeping, so I dont know if the 5 month old will allow her to play.

have them change it to "Tuesday night Warhawk presents: Wed night RDR and Thurs night COD:MW2"

either that or "'f*cking Slider!' Part 2: it must be Wed or Thurs"
